Pedal for the Planet: Diocesan Cyclists Lead the Way in Environmental Stewardship

Filled with excitement and joy, members of the Delhi Diocesan Youth Fellowship, under the mentorship and guidance of Rev. Samuel Shekhar, the Youth Director, took part in the Cycle Rally on March 23, 2024, promoting eco-friendly means of travel amidst the rising pollution in Delhi. The Cycle tour was flagged off by Revd. Dr. Suresh Kumar from Free Church, Parliament Street, at 6:15 AM. Participants embarked on a cycling route, enjoying rest stops with refreshments. The rally emphasised inclusivity, welcoming cyclists of all ages and skill levels. The event aimed to promote health, strengthen community bonds, and advocate environmental consciousness. The Diocesan Cycle Rally promoted eco-friendly transportation, reducing carbon emissions and air pollution. By encouraging cycling, it contributed to a cleaner environment. Participants' efforts in choosing sustainable modes of travel showcased a commitment to preserving the planet for future generations. It culminated in a celebration at Green Park Free Church, where Revd. Kamal Mall and Revd. Vishal Paul handed out certificates of participation, marking a successful day of physical activity, camaraderie, and environmental awareness within the diocese.
