Inauguration of 2025 Theme: Intentional Discipleship and Disciple-Making
On January 29, 2025, the Diocese of Delhi inaugurated the theme for the year—Intentional Discipleship and Disciple-Making (IDDM)—at the Cathedral Church of the Redemption, New Delhi. Rooted in the Anglican Communion, this theme seeks to cultivate a Jesus-shaped life and build a Jesus-shaped Church.
As a Diocesan family, we will journey together in the year ahead to understand that Intentional Discipleship requires surrendering ourselves to God, allowing Him to mold us into the image of His beloved Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. This commitment is encapsulated in the phrase “Living a Jesus-shaped life.”
The Rt. Revd. Dr. Paul Swarup, Bishop of the Diocese of Delhi, inaugurated the theme with a session on discipleship, emphasizing the five essential marks of IDDM—Tell, Teach, Tend, Transform, and Treasure.
To deepen our understanding and practice of these discipleship principles, a series of workshops have been scheduled throughout the year:
17th March 2025: First mark TELL by The Rev. Fr. Monodeep Daniel (PhD)
9th May 2025: Second mark TEACH by The Bishop Swarup
11th July 2025: Third mark TEND by The Bishop Swarup
24th September 2025: Fourth mark TRANSFORM by The Rev. Fr. Monodeep Daniel (PhD)
19th November 2025: Fifth mark TREASURE by The Bishop Swarup
Discipleship is the core mission of the Church, reflecting Christ’s Great Commission to make and be disciples. As we embark on this year dedicated to Intentional Discipleship and Disciple-Making, it is our collective prayer and commitment to nurture the spirit of true discipleship within our Diocese.
